BUDGET COMMITTEE MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 3:40 p.m. Agency Members Woodruff, Kelly, Hanes and Brown, and Laypersons Canfield, Tryon, Rivers and Perkins answered the roll. Agency Members Cutter, Campbell and Holland and Laypersons O’Neil and Watson were excused. A quorum was present.
2. SELECTION OF BUDGET COMMITTEE CHAIR: Ms. Hanes nominated Ms. Woodruff for Chair. Mr. Kelly seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.
3. PUBLIC HEARING - Waldport Urban Renewal Agency Budget for FY 2011/2012: Ms. Woodruff opened the Public Hearing. There were no public comments. The Budget Committee commenced review of the proposed budget. Discussion ensued regarding tsunami siren upgrades. Consensus of the Committee was to make a recommendation to the Agency to seriously consider a study for upgrading the tsunami sirens in the near future due to the deteriorating nature of the present system. No changes were proposed to the budget. Mr. Canfield moved to accept the proposed budget as amended and recommend its adoption to the Waldport Urban Renewal Agency,and to approve taxes for the 2011/2012 fiscal year at the maximum amount from Division of Taxes for the Urban Renewal #2 Plan. Ms. Hanes seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.
4. ADJOURNMENT: At 4:04 p.m., there being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned.
