APRIL, 2002 URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY MEETING MINUTES:

 

APRIL 18, 2002

 

1.    ROLL CALL:  Chair Moore called the meeting to order at 9:46 a.m.  Chair Moore and Members Abbott, Woodruff, Beckstead, Welch and Church answered the roll.  Member Peterson was absent.  A quorum was present.

2.    CITIZEN COMMENTS AND CONCERNS:  Brian Kirsch, owner of Health 101 and Pet Project,  noted that there were a couple of upcoming events such as Beachcombers Days and the Great Garage Sale, and suggested that the City make a  priority of painting the crosswalks and curbs prior to the events.

3.    AGENCY COMMENTS AND CONCERNS:  None.

4.    MINUTES:  The Agency considered the minutes from the March 7 and March 26, 2002 meetings.  Member Woodruff moved to approve the minutes as presented, Member Beckstead seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.

5.    FINANCIAL STATEMENT: There were no questions.

6.    DISCUSSION ITEMS:

    A.    Consideration of Recommendation from Council to Replace Fencing at Old Motel Site:  Chair Moore noted that the Chamber of Commerce will pay for the materials, and Mr. Nickerson had volunteered to build and install the fence.  Member Woodruff moved to accept the recommendation of the Council for the replacement of the fence.  Member Abbott seconded, noting that the timing of the installation would be up to the Chamber of Commerce.  The motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.

    B.    Approval of City of Waldport Invoice #128:  Member Welch moved to approve payment of Invoice #128.  Member Beckstead seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.

    C.    Consideration of Memorandum of Understanding - WURA/City of Waldport:  Chair Moore stated that this was a renewal of the annual agreement with the City, and it was the same as the previous year.  Member Woodruff confirmed the amount of the payment was as approved by the Budget Committee.  Member Welch moved to approve the memorandum.  Member Church seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.

7.    ADJOURNMENT:  At 9:50 a.m., there being no further business to come before the Agency, Member Beckstead moved to adjourn.  Member Welch seconded, and the motion carried unanimously on a voice vote.
