1. If I pay online, how soon does the City get notified?

Once the payment is authorized, the City is notified and you instantly receive a receipt of payment via e-mail. Payments made after business hours are processed the next business day. To ensure proper and timely application to your utility account, payment is required to be made two days prior to the due date (the 15th of the month). All pending payments are posted prior to the application of late fees. If you pay after the due date, you may still pay the amount stated on the bill and any late fees will carry over to your next bill. The late fee is 5% of the current balance due.

2. Is my payment secure?

Your payment is absolutely secure. With today’s technology, these types of software systems have developed a proven secure track record. The City uses a proven VeriSign website to secure the information using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection.

3. What is the process fee?

The "process fee" is the cost for online or over the phone payment processing. This fee covers the cost of building and maintaining the website, the customer service team, and credit card fees. Paying by debit or credit card is only possible through the online service or by calling 800-701-8560. If you wish to avoid the process fee, you may pay your bill by mailing a personal check or money order to: City of Waldport, PO Box 1120, Waldport, OR 97394, paying in person by cash or check at Waldport City Hall, 125 Alsea Highway, Waldport, or signing up for direct payment by filling out a form available at City Hall or downloading and faxing or mailing the form found here.

4. What happens if I don’t pay my bill?

If you do not pay your bill on time, late fees may apply or your service may be affected. Please contact the City at 541-264-7417 X 102 or X 101 if you have questions.
